The MäksēLife goal-setting system has been refined and simplified over nearly two decades to ensure it’s effective, sustainable, and adaptable to the complexities of real life.
At MäksēLife, we believe the secret to a more satisfying life lies in a purposeful approach to goal-setting. Our system isn’t just about checking boxes; it’s about creating a life that aligns your dreams with your day-to-day actions.
Today, we’re going to take a closer look at our signature goal-setting system.
How Does the MäksēLife System Work?
Step One: The Compass Assessment
Understanding your starting point enables you to better design where you want to go. In the Compass Assessment, you’ll rate yourself in each area of life through a series of statements, revealing your strengths and opportunities for growth. This process uncovers blind spots and gives you the clarity needed to create your intentions, vision, and goals for the coming year.
Step Two: Setting Intentions
Intent creates action, and action creates change. You’ll be guided to set intentions that bring purpose and direction to your goals. These intentions become the foundation of your goal-setting journey, helping you stay anchored to your vision. As life evolves, you’ll revisit your intentions to ensure they still resonate with your values and goals.
Step Three: Annual Goals & Vision
Taking the information you gathered from your Assessment and Intentions exercise, the MäksēLife system helps you create annual goals in each area of life, forming the roadmap for what you want to accomplish over the next year. Have fun with this step by creating a vision board, adding extra inspiration and bringing your goals to life visually. This sets the foundation for taking meaningful action toward your goals.
Step Four: Monthly Goals & Weekly Actions
This step is where the magic happens! Our system supports you inbreaking down your long-term goals into smaller, actionable steps. Every month, you’ll set monthly goals, then break them down further into weekly actions. By creating a habit of setting and reviewing your goals on a monthly and weekly basis, you’ll stay on track while remaining flexible. This is where incremental shifts lead to big changes.
Step Five: Reflections & Quarterly Review
Reflection is the most powerful step in the MäksēLife system. Each month, you’ll pause to reflect on your progress, celebrate wins, learn from setbacks, and make adjustments as needed.
Our Quarterly Compass Assessment allows you to reassess your life in all eight areas, ensuring that your goals remain aligned with where you are in life. These moments of reflection allow you to grow while staying true to your overall vision. If you need to pause along the way, simply pick up where you left off—no judgment, just begin.
