February Goals Check-In: Reflect, Adjust, and Move Forward
February’s Goals Check-In livestream was a chance to hit pause, reflect on what’s working, and adjust as we move into March. Sierra, Darian, Courtney, and Sarah had an honest conversation about the wins, struggles, and mindset shifts that come with goal-setting. Because let’s be real, progress isn’t always linear!
Some goals moved forward with momentum, while others needed a little flexibility (or a full-on reset). No matter where you landed, the key takeaway was this:
Goal-Setting isn’t about perfection. It’s about learning, adapting, and showing up for yourself in a way that actually feels good.

What We Learned from February
February brought its fair share of challenges. Schedules shifted, energy levels fluctuated, and some goals needed a complete re-evaluation. One of the biggest themes from our discussion? Flexibility. The ability to adjust without feeling like you’ve failed is a skill (and an important one!).
During the check-in, we talked about habits that made a difference this month. Weekly reflections helped keep priorities in check, breaking tasks into smaller steps made things feel more manageable, and using the MäksēLife Goal-Setting Planner brought more clarity. We also explored how shifting from rigid schedules to a more intuitive approach can create space for real progress, rather than just checking off boxes.
But not everything worked. Overcommitting led to burnout, pushing through exhaustion often backfired, and skipping routines made it harder to find momentum again. These are all normal parts of the process. Not only that, but they offer valuable insight for moving forward.
Setting Intentions for March
As you step into March, how can you create more joy, ease, and intention in your days? Instead of forcing productivity, we asked: what would it look like to create space for more fun? Instead of feeling behind, what if we leaned into flexibility and trusted that progress will come?
We explored ways to shift our focus from doing more to doing what actually matters. That might mean prioritizing rest, strengthening relationships, or simply allowing yourself to take things one step at a time.
Some ideas we discussed:
-
Adding small moments of mindfulness into the day
-
Setting better boundaries between work and rest
-
Redefining success so it’s based on how you feel, not just what you accomplish
It’s not about adding more to your plate, it’s about making sure what’s on your plate aligns with what you *actually need*.
There Are No Rules
One of the biggest reminders from this check-in? Goal-setting isn’t one-size-fits-all. If a goal feels overwhelming, break it down. If something isn’t working, pivot. That’s not failure, that’s wisdom! Every small shift you make is proof that you're learning what works for you.
Before heading into March, take a moment to check in with yourself. What do you need right now? What shifts, big or small, would support you the most?
If you haven’t already, take a few minutes to reflect and set your March intentions. And if you want to share, we’d love to hear from you. Drop a comment below or join the conversation in the MäksēLife Facebook Group. Let’s move forward with intention together, one step at a time!
