Real Stories. Real Joy. Real Growth: What Season of Yes Sparked in Our ClubMāksē Community
What does it really look like to say Yes to yourself? Not in the Pinterest-perfect way. Not in the "just do it" pep talk. But in real life—with real challenges, real fears, and real magic?
That’s what we explored in our recent Live Differently livestream, where Sierra, Darian, and Courtney from Team Māksē sat down with three incredible Clubbies—Andrea, Mackenzie, and Ebony—to talk about how Season of Yes has transformed their lives, one Yes at a time.
The conversation was raw, joyful, and filled with the kind of truth that sticks with you. Here are the biggest takeaways, the moments that made us teary-eyed, and the reminders we all need as we prepare to enter our next Season of Yes.
What even is Season of Yes?
So what is Season of Yes, exactly? It’s our 12-week experience inside ClubMāksē designed to help you reclaim joy, reconnect with yourself, and say Yes to a life that feels aligned. You’ll receive weekly challenges and encouragement that guide you to tune into what matters—and take action on it. There’s no one-size-fits-all here. It’s about living more intentionally, one small Yes at a time.
And this year? We’re leaning into nostalgia. Think roller rinks and mixtapes, polaroids and popsicles, handwritten notes and late summer sunsets. That warm, analog joy you forgot you missed. Because sometimes, the fastest way back to yourself is through a memory. Through the version of you who believed anything was possible. This theme isn’t about going backwards—it’s about bringing those feelings forward, and letting them spark something new. Something braver. Something beautifully, undeniably yours.
Saying Yes Looks Different for Everyone
We kicked things off with the question: Does saying yes come easy to you? And the answers? So beautifully diverse.
Andrea shared how motherhood reshaped her relationship with Yes. Once a default yes-giver to others, she found herself slowly fading from her own story. ClubMāksē reminded her that saying yes to herself wasn't just allowed—it was essential. That one Yes created a ripple effect, bringing more presence, joy, and calm into her entire family dynamic.
Mackenzie, a self-described introvert and homebody, reminded us that saying Yes doesn’t have to mean saying yes to everything. For her, it meant reframing the challenges to meet her needs—energy-wise, budget-wise, and emotionally. "Say Yes Once" became her quiet, powerful mantra.
Ebony got real about the fear. How anxiety and comfort zones try to convince her that saying No is safer. But she’s learned to say Yes to being brave. Because that’s the woman she wants to be.
Tiny Yes’s. Big Life Shifts.
When we asked everyone what moments from past Seasons of Yes stood out, the stories were unforgettable.
Ebony told us about her fear of driving on the highway. It sounds small—until you’ve been there. She made a plan, said Yes anyway, and went farther than she ever imagined. That single Yes taught her the power of momentum. "I realized I wasn’t just learning about personal growth—I was actually living it."
Andrea lit up when she shared how paddle boarding became her weekly ritual. What started as a challenge turned into a sacred practice of calm, joy, and togetherness with her family.
Mackenzie used her Yes to explore her local area and discovered new businesses and community connections right in her backyard.
A common thread?
Magic in the everyday.
The kind that sneaks up on you while you’re rinsing dishes or watching the sunset from your front steps. It’s the quiet joy of laughing with your kids in the kitchen, or realizing a walk around the block was exactly what your soul needed. It’s what happens when you stop living in default mode and start tuning in. That’s the beauty of Season of Yes—it nudges you out of autopilot and back into the small, sacred moments where life actually lives.

More Yes = More Joy
Saying Yes is more than a challenge. It’s a reclamation.
A whisper of self-trust that gets louder each time you listen.
It’s choosing to believe that your joy matters, that your needs deserve space, and that your life is worthy of your own attention.
When the world pulls you in a thousand directions, saying Yes is the moment you come back home to yourself—not just to check a box, but to remember what it feels like to be alive, present, and fully you.
For Ebony, it was learning how to prioritize her own care—because when she did, everything else got easier. "Saying Yes helps me feel like myself again."
Mackenzie found herself leaning deeper into presence. She wasn’t just completing challenges, she was savoring the intention behind them. And that awareness? It didn’t end when the season did.
Andrea described her Yes's as compounding joy. One leads to the next. She smiles more. Laughs more. Moves more. Lives more. "I’m not waiting for life to happen anymore."
The Joy is in Who You’re Becoming
When we asked what changes they’d noticed after saying Yes, Ebony’s answer gave us chills:
"The joy doesn’t just come from doing the thing. It comes from who I am becoming."
We felt that. Not just as a sweet sentiment, but as a soul-deep truth.
Season of Yes isn’t about checking off a challenge or pushing through for the sake of growth.
It’s about recognizing that who you are becoming in the process—the version of you that trusts herself, that shows up with courage, that dares to try—that is where the real joy lives.
It’s not the Yes that changes you. It’s the self you uncover in the saying of it.
Mackenzie reflected on how memory keeping from previous Seasons of Yes became her personal encouragement file. Something she could return to when she felt stuck, reminding herself: I’ve been here before. And I moved through it.
And Sierra reminded us all: there’s no right way to do Season of Yes. Big, small, bold, quiet—every Yes counts.
If You’re Still Unsure
Maybe you're feeling the nudge but haven't made the leap.
Maybe the idea of saying Yes feels a little too bold, too uncertain, too "not right now." If that's you, here’s what our Clubbies want you to know:
Ebony: "Get curious about why. What’s stopping you from saying Yes? Is it fear? Insecurity? Resources? The more honest you are, the more you can create a plan that supports—not shames—you."
When Ebony first joined ClubMāksē, two of her closest friends had just moved away. She was devastated. That loneliness could have swallowed her, but instead she showed up to Club after work and found light in unexpected places. "This community reminded me I’m not alone. It gave me something to look forward to—real people, real support, and no drama. Just genuine encouragement and connection."
Mackenzie: "This community is the best on the internet. Truly. You don’t have to go through this alone. Join Season of Yes, find an accountability buddy, and check in with each other. It’s wild how powerful even one consistent voice of support can be."
Andrea: "You deserve this. You are worthy of saying yes to yourself—not just once, but again and again. ClubMāksē has helped me come back to myself, and I genuinely don’t know what my life would look like without it."
